T.J. Middleton, General Manager
About
T.J. Middleton is a former professional tennis player with an impressive career. He attended the University of Georgia, where he helped lead the Bulldogs to the 1987 National Championship and was the 1990 SEC Doubles Champion. T.J. turned professional in 1990 and played for 10 years, reaching a career-high singles ranking of world No. 221 and doubles ranking of world No. 63. He competed in 15 Wimbledon Championships, making the finals of mixed doubles in 1994 with top-10 WTA player Lori McNeil and winning the Wimbledon Senior Championships in 2004 with ATP top-10 player David Wheaton. T.J. also coached top-ten ATP player Paradorn Srichiphan and worked with several top-20 and top WTA players.
T.J. and his wife, Courtenay Chapman Middleton (Hall of Fame standout at the University of Mississippi, three-time All-American, and WTA professional), have a 14-year-old daughter, Lyla, who was ranked #1 in the nation in the 12's and 14’s divisions. In 2023, she won three gold balls, including singles and doubles at the USTA National Hardcourt Championships in Rome, GA. In 2024, she again won three gold balls, including the Billie Jean King National Hardcourt Doubles in San Diego, and finished the year #1 in singles and doubles in the 16’s division.

Brian MacPhie, Director of Racquets
About
Brian MacPhie's tennis career began as a standout junior at Gunderson High School in San Jose, CA, where he posted an impressive 75-0 singles record. From 1988 to 1990, he was a part of the United States National Team. He then went on to play college tennis at the University of Southern California from 1990 to 1993, leading the team to two NCAA Team Championships while playing #1 singles and doubles. During his college career, he was named NCAA Rookie of the Year in 1991 and earned All-American honors in singles and doubles every year from 1991 to 1993.
Brian turned professional in 1993, competing on the ATP Tour until 2005. During his career, he reached a career-high singles ranking of #126 and had notable wins over top-15 players like Jim Courier, Patrick Rafter, and David Wheaton. In doubles, Brian achieved world #1 status with partner Mark Knowles, winning seven titles and finishing as runners-up thirteen times. He also partnered with Rick Leach and Nenad Zimonjic, reaching the World Doubles Championships semifinals in 2001 and finishing the year as the fifth-ranked team. Throughout his career, Brian has supported charities like the Arthur Ashe AIDS Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.

As Director of Racquet Sports, Brian brings his wealth of experience as both a player and coach to FLRC. He specializes in junior development, ladies leagues, and men's group workouts, helping players of all levels reach their potential. With a proven track record of coaching ATP professionals and a passion for community-focused tennis, Brian is dedicated to providing exceptional coaching and growing the racquet sports program at FLRC. His leadership and expertise will play a key role in elevating the club’s offerings and creating a supportive environment.
Klaus Dlabik, Head Racquets Professional
About
Originally from Graz, Austria, Klaus received a professional tennis teaching degree from the Federal Institute of Physical Education. He assisted the Austrian Regional Junior Program, working with future French Open Champion Thomas Muster, and later worked for Sport Scheck in Germany, Spain, and Croatia as Head Tennis Professional for adults and juniors. Klaus moved to the U.S. in 1984 and managed several tennis clubs in the Atlanta area, including as Director of Tennis at Summit Chase C.C. and Rivermist. In 2003, he owned and promoted the Atlanta Tennis Classics, a professional event featuring tennis greats such as Jim Courier, Mats Wilander, and Thomas Muster.
Klaus has been ranked in the top 10 nationally in father/son doubles with his son Fritz and finished #2 in the south in men’s 50’s. He won consecutive Southern Championships in 50’s doubles in 2012 and 2013. From 2016 to 2021, Klaus taught at the Shellaberger Tennis Center in Santa Fe and organized four consecutive Pro-Am events. In 2021, he joined the tennis staff at Santa Fe Tennis & Swim Club in Santa Fe, NM.

Klaus’ extensive background as a coach and tennis professional makes him a valuable addition to FLRC. As Head Racquets Professional, Klaus will oversee tennis instruction for players of all levels and assist with the club's pickleball program. His international and U.S. experience, combined with his leadership in organizing high-level events, allows him to provide expert coaching and create a dynamic racquets program. Klaus is dedicated to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment at FLRC, offering personalized coaching to help members achieve their full potential.
Teel Lawler-Flores, Director of Membership & Events
About
Teel Lawler-Flores earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from North Texas State University and later went on to complete extensive training in wellness and esthetics, including certifications from the Dallas Institute of Massage, Bikram Yoga College of India, and Ogle School of Esthetics. Beyond that, people are at the heart of everything Teel does. Her natural gift for connecting with others and making everyone feel like they belong has shaped her career path. During her tenure at the Kimbell Art Museum, Teel found her calling in membership development, where she excelled at welcoming new members and crafting exclusive events that kept everyone coming back for more.

She excels at bringing people together, transforming each interaction into an opportunity to build connection and community. Her exceptional organizational skills, combined with her genuine ability to make others feel seen and valued, ensure that every event at FLRC is a meaningful experience for members. Teel's approach helps foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages long-lasting connections.
